Director, SAP Engineering
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Director, SAP Engineering to lead all technical aspects of running and building the SAP technology platform and integrations, including development projects, enhancements, support efforts, basis engineering, security engineering and the technical data platform. This leader will ensure all software development lifecycle processes and operational best practices are followed. This position is responsible for defining and driving the SAP technology and integration strategy. This leader oversees employees, contractors and managed services directly and indirectly over a variety of disciplines. This position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of IT functions for the assigned business. You will:Establish a vision for SAP Engineering aligned with CHS Information Technology Strategy. The overall objective will be to drive operational excellence, increase business productivity and enable disruptive innovation.Provide delivery of complex technical solutions within IT: SAP Development, SAP Security, Data Engineering, SAP Basis, and application integrations.Provide application integrations for both SAP and non-SAP across the enterprise.Develop, implement, and enhance service delivery processes utilizing ITIL, Agile, and other appropriate frameworksDevelop strategy and roadmaps for business applications and for all business applications support.Ensure that operational compliance is well managed and acceptable.Manage P & L for each unit and current knowledge of emerging IT and business issues.Identify where the business unit is falling short and provide recommendations.Review all system-related security plans throughout the organization's environment, acting as a liaison to various IT departments.Maintain the relationship between IT and the business by embedding within the day-to-day activities both strategic and support.Advise the organization with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issuesMonitor, audit and, as necessary, coordinate IT activities of other departments and business units to remain abreast of the status of technology activities.Oversee different project and support leads, provide guidance and ensure business needs are being met or exceeded.Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.Relate new technologies to business issues and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies.Perform general duties of the position as assigned.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science12 or more years of experience in Information TechnologyMinimum of 8 years demonstrated success in managing IT teams and developing IT staffIn depth knowledge of business management systemsPreferred Qualifications: (desired)Master?s degree in Information Technology or Computer ScienceKnowledge and understanding of SAP operations and application development10 or more years of management experience, managing complex technical teams and projects10 or more years of software development and/or systems engineering experience5 or more years of experience implementing agile practicesOutstanding oral and written communication skills are essential; must have the ability to make presentations before both small and large groups.Experience managing strategic vendor relationships with the ability to provide technical direction and influence resources in and out of direct control.Experience in International OperationsProven negotiation techniquesExperience with quality and standards implementationApply for this job.
