SUMMARY This position provides senior level management and leadership of the Technology Marketing function for the Growers Solutions Group by directing/expanding the marketing effort and technology related sales through Crop Advisors and Field Technology Representatives. The incumbent will be responsible technology products and processes like ADS, implementing the I-Quote system across all the areas. Precision Ag products, developing new technologies like Ag related applications for I-Phones/Pads. He or she will serve as a liaison between our retail division and our corporate IT departments to identify, develop, market and sell technology driven products, systems and processes. Promotes and strengthens the technology Marketing program with Ag Technology Industry leaders and business partners.RESPONSIBILITIES * Communicate with senior management, Area Managers, and ABHQ SGS Directors and Managers regarding the strategic direction and vision, as well as markets and programs.* Develop and maintain alliances with suppliers, research organizations, and industry leaders and negotiate overall Ag technology strategy with these companies and leaders. * Provide consultation to IT groups as they develop/design/buy technology solutions for Retail. * Oversee, expand and direct marketing and sales of Ag technology products, systems and services. Provide leadership and guidance to Crop Advisors, Field Technology Representatives and Market Managers. This will include influencing, coaching, communicating, training, and participating in the Ag Technology marketing/sales function. Manage programs and people key to SGS success. High level of interaction with field SGS Area Managers, Boise managers and external suppliers and vendors. Setting goals and priorities for products, programs and people in building an effective Ag technology plan. * Develop an overall marketing and sales strategic plan. Implement and manage that plan with an end goal of growing our technology related sales substantially. Create programs that will help us achieve these goals. * Create technology marketing plan for our newely acquired businesses in Texas and California. Implement and manage that plan. * Develop and implement a plan to coordinate precision Ag efforts across all areas. * Provides a high level vision of the Ag Technology marketing program to senior management and industry leaders. Set plans and goals for key areas of technology related sales. Provide sufficient measurement to demonstrate performance. * Conduct and/or attend seminars, trade shows, field days, etc. to support the technology marketing function in the field.REQUIREMENTSE ducation:* Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or universityOther information:Ten plus years related experience and/or training. Extensive knowledge of marketing, sales and training across all agricultural growing regions in the US. Communication and computer skills. Leadership abilities. Strong project management skills. 50% travel required.
