District Sales Manager
OpportunityRupp Seeds has an opening for a full-time District Sales Manager (DSM) in lower Michigan and northeast Indiana territory.A successful DSM develops and maintains seed sales through effective product placement meeting the cropping practices and market opportunities of customers, while also earning their trust through long-term relationships. As a DSM, you will promote Rupp brand products (seed corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and forage products) in both direct retail sales and dealer business channels. ResponsibilitiesRepresent the company and promote its products as a professional sales representative including responsibility for effective performance of territory sales functions in both retail and dealer business channels.Establish and maintain trusting relationships with customers, potential customers and industry representatives.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of grain and forage crop production, crop management practices and market opportunities.Develop and maintain a solid understanding of Rupp products and how they fit the cropping practices and market opportunities of customers.Establish and maintain good working relationships with company personnel and management.Be organized in managing work and activities including keeping records on customers, opportunities and sales activities. Skills & Experience RequiredPrevious sales experience is preferred and ag-related sales experience is considered a plus.Excellent interpersonal skills.Good verbal, written and presentation skills.Time and territory management abilities.Proven problem solver.Proficient in the use of Windows PCs, Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software.
