The District Sales Manager position is responsible to carry out all sales and marketing activities in DelMarVa so as to maintain, develop and grow the overall sales volume in that territory in a manner which maximizes profitability.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and organize sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals.Plan and develop dealer/distributor network in specified territory according to agreed market development strategy.Motivate dealers and distributors to promote the portfolio of products and services.Educate growers, dealers & distributors on new products.Conduct direct farm visits to growers in order to promote and sell the portfolio of products.Conduct direct visits to dealers and distributors to assist in selling the portfolio of products.Sell and service equipment related to application of the fertilizer products.Install and help to install equipment as related to the application of the fertilizer products.Sell storage tanks as related to storage of the fertilizer products.Deliver fertilizer, parts & equipment and storage tanks to dealers and farmers as required.Conduct grower meetings to promote the use of the products. Attend farm shows to promote the use of the products and services.Locate and develop test plot locations as it relates to the research & development program.Manage and collect accounts receivable as required to keep receivables current.Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in Agricultural field preferred3 or more years of experience in agricultural sales roleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel, 75% overnight travel requiredExcellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, CRM, etc. This job requires an agronomy background. The job also requires a degree in agriculture and the ability to cold call and face-to-face sales call customers, retailers and farmers.Apply for this job.
