Divisional ControllerCactus Feeders is hiring a Division Controller for its Amarillo, Texas Office. A successful candidate for the position will be part of the Senior Accounting Management Team with responsibility for the overall staffing, supervision and accounting functions of the Division. The Division Controller will oversee the daily accounting activities, monthly close, and periodic analysis of operational activities, costs and profitability. The Division Controller will oversee staffing and supervision of accounting staff and is accountable for ensuring generally accepted accounting principles are adhered to as well as internal accounting policies. This individual will have significant interactions and accountability to the company s senior management, business unit managers, and financing operations. Job RequirementsBachelor's or Master s degree in Accounting10+ years of relevant prior experience; Public Accounting experience preferredExperience with enterprise accounting systems; Navision preferredStrong analytical, problem solving and communication skillsSelf-motivated with initiative to lead the accounting staff and produce results through partnership with other senior managers; Ability to learn quickly, produce results, and work with deadlinesAbility to travel as needed (20%+)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Job ResponsibilitiesOversight of the monthly close process including high level understanding of all necessary journal entries, analyzing cost and P&L variances, reviewing live animal production and key metricsResponsible for all Divisional staffing, training, development and supervisionWork closely with Senior Management and Directors in areas of Procurement, Finance and Operations, including planning, cost analysis, risk management and commodity procurementOversight of the annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controlsEffectively manage and delegate monthly close and project workApply for this job.
