Dredging Operator 4
SUMMARY: This person will be responsible for the proper land application of wastewater treatment plant bio solids and repairing production trolleys. Duties may include the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of dredging equipment and trolley repair equipment; daily monitoring of equipment, fluids and lubricants during dredging operations; insure the operation of dredging equipment is performed in a safe/proper manner; supervision of shift operations that may include some night shifts or as needed and other duties as assigned by dredging supervisor. When dredging is not required the candidate will be repairing trolleys or working in the shop. REQUIREMENTS: Education: HS diploma preferred. Experience: Must have working experience in one or more of the following: general equipment repair, pump maintenance, engine repair, welding and farming background that includes knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment operations, equipment repair and maintenance. Agricultural background preferred. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred.
Other REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid driver license. Work requires physical strength and agility necessary to perform lifting of 50# or more and be able to stand for considerable lengths of time. Must be dependable, self- motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and have a good attendance record, Must have a strong safety attitude. Travel: Extensive seasonal travel for project work to company locations. Candidate must be willing to work 12 hours or longer, am or pm shifts, if required, in emergency situations and possess strong teamwork skills.
