the primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Recruiting Class A CDL drivers to fill open positions within the Tyson Foods Long Haul Transportation group.
Recruiting includes managing leads, making cold calls, accepting phone calls, following up on referrals, etc.; Providing aid to candidates who struggle with the electronic application; Processing applications and gathering work history verifications and background information to fulfill the requirements of the personal and work history portion of the dot application; managing the electronic application from initial entry to either approval or rejection by Manager of Recruiting.
Additional responsibilities also include communication such as preparation for pre-hire and orientation class, and arranging travel to get the candidate to pre-hire activities.
Preferred 1 year of experience within transportation industry, or in the sales industry.
Knowledge of hiring dot qualified drivers is a plus.
basic computer skills a must, including the ability to use many types of software.
excellent verbal communication, including telephone communication and working directly with the public. The ability to multi task is essential.
could include up to 2 trips per year to job fairs, schools, or conventions.
