Decatur, ILAccountability:The Driver Recruiting and Retention Specialist will report directly to the Director of ADM Trucking. Position Summary; The Driver Recruiting and Retention Specialist will be responsible for identifying, recruiting and hiring drivers to support ADM Trucking?s needs to maintain and expand our operations.
This position also holds responsibility for ensuring that a strong retention plan is in place to ensure that ADM meets the needs of our driving professionals.
The Driver Recruiting and Retention Specialist will work with our Driver and Terminal Managers to ensure that a plan is in place to identify potential drivers to meet our safety and operational goals, while ensuring low driver turnover at each location. Job Responsibilities:
Identify and contact potential professional drivers who fit our safety and work cultureLearn and maintain working knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations, Food Safety, hiring processes, retention processes and company safety procedures and goalsCreate and utilize existing processes for identifying driversCollaborate with Management to target areas for recruiting and retentionScreen and interview prospective candidates, provide follow up to keep applications apprised of their current status.Increase retention by working with driver and terminal managers through communication and planning Recommend and implement advertising, sourcing and digital recruitment strategiesParticipate and lead in committees for safety and driver retentionEffectively manage online database of candidates and current driversConduct surveys to identify pulse of the driver and develop action plans to improve driver satisfactionDefine goals for pipeline size, hiring goals and retention plans across terminals and overall businessDevelop and maintain relationships with driving schools near ADM TerminalsUnderstand pay packages and make recommendations to future changes based on market Job Requirements:
