Education Specialist – CDE/LDE
JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, evaluate, revise, ?manage and implement FFA educational programs (Career Development and Leadership Development Events) that are in alignment with the mission of the organization and supports the integrated agricultural education model.? The candidate will be responsible for program organization, development, management and delivery.? Ensures that the FFA utilizes cutting-edge methodologies and technologies in order to deliver both student-centered programs and resources ensuring rigor and relevance. Employ management strategies to coordinate, manage and develop volunteers in delivering and/or assess content. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of committee volunteers and other program volunteers.? Maintain expertise and leadership of specific programs and projects, including educational content development responsibilities.?? Must possess the ability to efficiently and effectively organize and manage multiple programs simultaneously and have a strong understanding of program management, as well as, new and emerging concepts in awards and recognition programs, specifically Career Development ?and Leadership Development Events.?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Establish program alignment with the FFA?s mission and precepts.Delivery high level educationally focused Career Development and Leadesrhip Development Events that are Business and Industry aligned assuring rigor and relevanceDevelop training plans, evaluation strategies, curriculum standards and guidelines for FFA program delivery, and procedures.Recruit select and manage volunteers, developing plans and processes for orientation of volunteers to effectively execute programs/processes, as well as develop systems that enhance coordination between program logistics and volunteers.Perform the mental and physical demands of the position.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Team player with the ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment as wells as a collaborative structure.Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication and project management skills.Interact, influence and work with a diverse group of internal/external people.Provide excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers.Effectively prioritize, organize, use time-management skills, and be adept at multi-tasking.Accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze.Computer proficient and be able to make and receive phone calls.Confident in speaking in front of small and large groups.Manage functions and staff.Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self-confidence, and must be coachable.Must be able to plan and manage a budget.Other duties as assigned.??EDUCATION:Bachelor?s degree required. Master?s preferred.?EXPERIENCEMinimum six years of relevant experience required.? Career Development and Leadership Development Event delivery experience required.
