Bishop, TX Where the Chemistry Happens BASF is seeking a leader like you to manage a team of EHS Specialists and provide technical expertise in developing and driving sustainable systems for Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP); Occupational Safety & Industrial Hygiene (OSIH), and Security and Environmental Compliance activities. Formula for Success As a trusted advisor to site leadership, you will serve as a technical resource on PSM, RMP and BASF Process Safety issues.Leading a team of EHS professionals, you will provide direction and guidance to meet EHS performance goals within their area of responsibilities while fostering their professional development.Demonstrating your experience in driving change and managing Strategic and Sustainable programs, you will steer effective risk reviews that leverage Management of Change and the Capital Project Review process. You will also participate in Process Hazards Analysis activities and technical reviews of process changes as necessary.Successfully engaging across the business, you will provide support for Emergency Response efforts. Leveraging your educational background in Engineering, Science, or a Business-related field, and/or your professional experience, you will support the site in the interpretation, development, and implementation of EHS initiatives while maintaining ongoing compliance with existing EHS safety standards and programs.Fostering safe-behavior and zero-incident mindsets throughout all functions in the manufacturing environment, you will proactively assist in the development of EHS training programs both for new employees and for changes made to existing EHS requirements and react promptly in the investigation of accident/incidents and development of effective corrective actions.Your commitment to organization and increased safety performance is essential in supporting KPI tracking, maintaining EHS records / databases (Accident Incident Database, Management of Change (MOC) Database, Action Item Database, PHA database), and preparing internal and external reports. Utilizing your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be relied upon to develop effective working relationships with site management, employees, and the EHS community to drive continuous improvement in safety/industrial hygiene performance.
