Position Purpose:Responsible for applying general understanding of Environment, Health and Safety practices and standards for the Hazleton, PA Case Ready facility. Provides location leadership and direction in the following areas of focus: development and implementation of EHS strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHS results, shaping of the internal EHS culture, and oversee of Trainers.
Principal Accountabilities:20%? Facilitates the EHS process for the Hazleton, PA facility as defined by the EHS Manager
20% Responsible for facility?s Ergonomic program including development of PDDs (Physical Demand Descriptor), performing data analysis to identify trends in Ergonomic risk and recommending preventive measures, and maintaining the Ergonomic scorecard.
20% Responsible for regulatory compliance programs including EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)? safety regulations as applicable.? This includes program development, training activities, record keeping, and assisting in Incident investigation when necessary.
20% Oversees trainers while interacting with Operations Management to insure proper new hire onboarding to include Safety compliance, FSQR compliance, and JTP (Job Task Procedure)? compliance.
10%? Conduct routine LIFEsavers field checks, Behavior Based Observations, and Near-Miss observations; conduct facility inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, maintain Enablon reporting.
10%? Collaborate with all management, Health Services staff, and any other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements: ??? Bachelor's degree related to Safety or Ergonomics, OR in lieu of degree 2+ years of experience in EHS or related field.? Bilingual in English/Spanish (Spanish is the prevalent language among production employees) ? Previous experience in safety field or general knowledge of industrial safety regulations? Organizational and computer/data management skills? Strong knowledge of basic computer skills with experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)? Able to work evening shift ? Ability to work in cold environmentsSuccess Factors/Abilities? Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) ? Possess team building skills and ability to influencing others?
