E&I Maintenance Engineer – #01S7E
The role of an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer is to provide technical support to troubleshoot and solve problems impacting equipment reliability, to execute improvements in equipment performance, and to manage responsibilities for the design, installation, and start up of various projects in the plant. In this position, you will also provide technical assistance on daily maintenance activities, perform incident investigations, achieve long-range goals by up-grading equipment, and reduce costs in an effort to continuously improve our processes and consistently establish the highest standards in the industry for safety, product quality, and reliability. Responsibilities:Provide Technical support in the development of detailed job plans for instrument and equipment repairs/ PM'sDevelop Engineering work packages for critical maintenance jobs and improvement projectsMonitor/trend, identify and develop solutions to E&I equipment issues (accuracy, high downtime, high maintenance cost &/or high quantity of repetitive failures)Generate management of changes documentation for solutions to E&I equipment problems that deviate from original designMaintain instrument specs and area E&I DrawingsPerform incident investigations and participate in unit or area safety teamsProvide technical support to production group with instrument and process issuesWork closely with drafting personnel, production and maintenance personnel, corporate engineering, and construction contractors Oversight of interlock/safety circuit programTechnical input and support for Process Safety ManagementSome on-call time periods may be incurredQualifications:Required Skills/ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringComputer proficiency in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Desired Skills /ExperienceAbility to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel and leadershipGeneral knowledge of batch and/or continuous process operationsUnderstand and utilize NFPA standardsMinimum of 2 years engineering experience in manufacturing, engineering or related fieldStrong communications skills, both oral and writtenMust be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment, including ascending/descending stairs and laddersStrong safety ethicBayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
