Learn more at www.adm.comOVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:The EI Technician works as part of the maintenance team to support plant operations and ensure equipment availability and proper functioning.
The EI Technician must be knowledgeable of and follow GMPs and all applicable SOPs. EI Technicians are required to have an electrical/instrumentation background, with a minimum of a 2 year technical degree or 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
Mechanical aptitude is essential.
Proficiency in mechanical diagnosis and repair, computer hardware and software is required.
All EI Technicians are required to trouble shoot electrical and electronic systems to resolve problems encountered during operation and restore the system to an operational state.
The EI Technician should be qualified to work on all electrical equipment from 24VDC to 13.2 KV.
Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings, instrument indexes, and computerized data archives.
Must be able to operate specialized computer interfaces as required for diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Experience with industrial packaging/warehouse equipment and control systems is a plus.
All Technicians must have a basic competency in office applications such as MS Office, and must be able to learn support systems such as Maximo with minimal individualized training.
EI Technicians are required to work closely with operators, mechanics and management to provide good customer service.
Must be able to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit or stand for long periods, work at heights, bending, kneeling, and be able to be respirator qualified.
Must be able to work in all environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, and dusty environment.
Must be willing to work on shifts or overtime as required.
Job Requirements:Specific duties will include Participates in ADM safety programs.Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns and restores operation.Conducts routine maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems in both the process and utilities areas.Performs preventive maintenance for all equipment.Calibrates instruments, per SOP, as required.Works with maintenance support and stock room personnel to ensure all parts transactions are properly documented.Participates on teams to perform root cause analysis of failures. Assists with checkout and startup of new equipment.Communicates equipment details effectively with other maintenance, process and engineering personnel.Assists the Maintenance Planner by providing feedback on PM (Preventive Maintenance) frequency and job steps.
