Electrical Engineer Co-op (St. Louis) – #01RY9
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer Co-Op. This position will be in St. Louis, MO, reporting to our Electrical Group Lead. As an Electrical Engineer Co-op, you will work to provide electrical and process control engineering designs for assigned projects, supporting multiple sites and multiple projects concurrently. Project deliverables include electrical and controls estimates, electrical equipment specifications, power distribution and grounding design, process control system specifications, lighting design, equipment and materials purchase requisitions, electrical and controls drawings, construction bid packages, and on-site checkout of electrical and controls facilities. This co-op will take place during spring or fall of 2019. Key Responsibilities:Preparing project electrical specifications and summaries for front end design packagesWorking with the electrical designer to develop project drawings for electrical and control layoutsSchematics and installation detailsReviewing electrical and control vendor drawingsSupporting constructionSupporting the development of electrical/instrumentation estimates for new projectsSupporting engineers in development of electrical device specificationsSupporting the development of site power distribution and process control system designSupporting the development of construction drawings and specificationsSupporting the development of electrical and controls checkout plansSupporting project checkout and startup at manufacturing siteQualifications: Required Skills/Experiences:Sophomore or Junior pursing a B.S. degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scaleStrong written and oral communication skillsGood problem solving skillsHigh degree of personal initiativeExcellent organization and planning skillsAbility to work well in a team environment and a diverse cultureGeneral knowledge of National Electrical CodeNo travel limitations Desired Skills/Experiences:Agricultural background Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
