The Electrical Project Engineer will assist with the management of capital projects to improve the operation of the Columbus plant. They will oversee the design and implementation of capital projects required for production. This includes identifying & evaluating project opportunities; requesting authorization for projects; as well as designing, installing, and commissioning approved projects. This person will have the opportunity to utilize engineering skills as well as electrical experience to sustain and improve operations processes in the areas of safety, reliability, electrical infrastructure, costs and compliance. Job Requirements:
BSEE or equivalent degree with 5+ years of experience or 10+ years of experience in plant electrical power distribution in an industrial processing facility.Personal value and commitment to safety demonstrated in all aspects of work.Strong engineering knowledge including but not limited to industrial electrical systems (ranging from low to very high voltage power distribution systems), National Electrical Code and exposure to process controls. Ability to read and decipher regulations and industry codes and explain requirements to others.Design and implementation experience with high (69kV) and medium voltage preferred. Knowledge of power generation systems and equipment a plus. Organizational skills, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to accomplish results by working effectively with others and willingness and ability to work in all plant areas (i.e. walk long distances, stand, climb stairs and ladders and move through close spaces).Hands on approach to work.Ability to respond quickly to changing requirements and capability to work in hot and cold temperatures.Relocation assistance is available with this position.
