Electrical Project Engineer Co-Op (Muscatine, IA) – #01RYN
The Muscatine location is located five miles South of Muscatine, Iowa, along the Mississippi River, and manufactures a wide variety of crop protection products, including Roundup??, the world's best-selling herbicide. The Muscatine plant continues to be a world class chemical manufacturing facility recognized for its quality products. Engineering Co-ops will apply engineering and safety principles in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities consisting of the application of engineering knowledge to projects within the facility. The six-month co-op assignment will be completed during the Spring 2019 semester (January-June). Electrical Engineering Duties will include preparing design, installation and start-up of automatic process control, material handling, and distributive control systems. The Co-op will also gain experience assisting with documentation of the process and equipment to meet compliance with ISO 9002 certification and Process Safety Management regulations. Co-ops will also assist with existing/new projects in design, equipment selection, installation, checkout, troubleshooting, and start-up phases. Other responsibilities could include project development, electrical control drawing approval, programming controller specifications, software development and training. Required Skills/Experience:Students must be currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S Electrical Engineering degree program and have completed the sophomore year at the time of applicationMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Desired Skills/Experience:Prior Co-op or internship experience is a plus Qualifications:In addition to current enrollment and GPA requirements listed above, co-ops must: Relocate to Muscatine, Iowa for the duration of the term (January-June of 2019)Return to school upon completion of their co-op term to continue their program of study Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
