CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Maintenance group. We are looking for an Electrician to manage the Electrical Maintenance, Equipment Repair, Electrical Preventative Maintenance and new construction electrical requirements of all Industrial Equipment at the facility, including all building electrical maintenance. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be a self-starter and require minimum direct supervision, and display extreme attention to detail.
You will:Keep production operating free of electrical problems.Ensure all Lock-out/Tag-out instructions are properly executed by ensuring that no short cuts are taken and that the equipment being locked-out is tested to confirm that no energy is available after Tag-out and prior to work commencing.Maintain Shift Logs and document preventive maintenance work as directed by Supervisor.Perform the housekeeping duties in the Electrical Shop and work areas.Maintain and upkeep all shop tools used by Terminal workers.Report and document all injuries and hazards to Supervisor.Assist Millwrights with work assignments.Perform any and all duties assigned by Supervisor, whether the assignments are electrically related or not.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Basic Qualifications: (required)High school diploma or GED.5 plus years of Industrial Electrical on-the-job experience (completion of 2nd Class Electrician training may offset work requirements).Proficient in troubleshooting control and power circuits.Understanding of Terminal PLC and control systems.Must be capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, over water, and around moving automated machinery.Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.Must have the ability to work at any time, on any shift as assigned.Must display capacity to perform all necessary repairs in order to complete qualification.Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Technical degree and relevant training certifications.
