Position Summary:The Elevator Manager has the operational and origination responsibilities for their individual location, as well as effectively overseeing the day to day operations in a safe and economical way.
The successful candidate must work with the regional merchandising office to cost effectively procure grain into both their facility and the destination markets.
This will be done with frequent communication to the regional commercial office regarding local market conditions and competition prices.
The Elevator Manager will represent ADM in a positive manner at all times when dealing with customers and the local community.
Job Responsibilities: Operational: Successfully manage an efficient and safe operation while ensuring appropriate communication with regional managementProactively seek out ways to eliminate and reduce expensesEnsure grain is kept in good qualityLead by example in all safety policy and procedures, developing positive safety attitudes within the work environmentEvaluate plant inefficiencies, bottlenecks and noncompliant safety items and communicate the required capital expenditure needsMaintain awareness and expeditiously correct physical plant safety and operational deficienciesInterview, hire, train and manage employees at the locationEnsure the plant condition maintains and improves through preventative maintenancePersonally attend/conduct safety meetings, ensuring completion and quality while maintaining a training compliance score no lower than of 95%.Analyze maintenance and non-routine tasks using JHA, ensuring the process is working correctlyActively solicit operational and safety guidance, input and concerns from involved employees at the facility, both informally and formally during safety observations, safety committees and safety councils.Manage all injuries and work related injuriesAssists in Incident Investigations and ensures corrective action is implemented to eliminate reoccurrenceSuccessfully limit the company?s exposure and risk on all internal Audit itemsWillingly accepts constructive criticism, making appropriate improvements Commercial: Apply for this job.
