This includes but is not limited to day-to-day operations, maintenance oversight and direction, management and responsibility of operational expenses, implementation and oversight of the company safety program with the overall objective of meeting continuous changing business needs required to keep the facility operating in a safe, efficient and competitive manner.Core Functions:This position reports directly to the Elevator Manager with a reporting line to the District Operations Manager and oversees the day to day operations and hourly crew at the facility. Hourly employees directly report to this position.This position will oversee and manage all contractors and projects at the facility. They will also work and communicate with the Operations Manager regarding projects. Direct all functions of operations to ensure best practices and that employees adhere to proper safe work practices and maintenance programs. Drive the operational excellence, continuous improvement, safety and environmental programs at the elevator to ensure a productive, safe working environment. Manage grain inventories, storage, grain quality, blending techniques and barge/truck scheduling. Manage the operational expenses associated with the annual budget, collaborate with others to develop long range business plans and create/execute the annual capital expenditure plan to maintain the integrity of the facility and grow the business. Oversee all major strategic projects to ensure targets are met. Maintain company specific software and operation systems.
