This includes but is not limited to day-to-day operations, maintenance oversight and direction, management and responsibility of operational expenses, implementation and oversight of the company safety program with the overall objective of meeting continuous changing business needs required to keep the facility operating in a safe, efficient and competitive manner.Core Functions:Direct all functions of operations to ensure best practices and that employees adhere to proper safe work practices and maintenance programsDrive the operational excellence, continuous improvement, safety and environmental programs at the elevator to ensure a productive, safe working environmentManage grain inventories, storage, grain quality, blending techniques and barge/truck schedulingManage the operational expenses associated with the annual budget, collaborate with others to develop long range business plans and create/execute the annual capital expenditure plan to maintain the integrity of the facility and grow the business Oversee all major strategic projects to ensure targets are met Maintain company specific software and operation systems Develop staffing plan and manage the hiring and training/development processes of hourly employees. Skills/Experience Requirements: Technical College Degree/Certification and 5+ years elevator experience or equivalent preferred. Strong teamwork and leadership skills Proficient in company specific software and operation systems. Solid computer skills, including Email, Excel, Microsoft Word, and other technical software packages is preferred. Expert understanding of policies and procedures.
