Position Purpose & SummaryCargill Risk Management (CRM)) seeks to hire a high performing energy commodity derivatives sales and origination professional, targeting oil and gas clients.? Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Cargill Risk Management has offices in 11 countries.??The Director role is designed to increase the origination effectiveness, efficiency, and results of the inside and outside sales teams across the organization. The? Director works with regional management and sales teams to implement product line strategies, increase sales team technical competency, and identify local market opportunities. In addition, the? Director shares relevant market information, product strategies, and customer insights with peers across the business for adoption in other geographies. Market opportunities are communicated to product line management for possible new product development consideration. This role also provides effective input and feedback on constructive sales tools, promotions, and other tactics to engage customers and the sales team.Cargill Risk Management is a dynamic environment that affords the right individual the opportunity to develop new relationships and to build on existing relationships, including internal partnerships with other CRM product lines and Cargill businesses.??Principal Accountabilities25% – Identify, prospect, initiate, and onboard new oil and gas customers for energy derivative sales.? ?Effectively communicate Cargill Risk Management?s value proposition across multiple levels within customer?s organization for energy hedging solutions.? Be the primary face of Cargill to the external marketplace and represent the Cargill brand.25% – Maintain, nurture, and grow existing customer relationships within the oil and gas sector.? This can include oil and gas producers, as well as the capital providers and industry consultants that we work with.? Be the primary face of Cargill to the external marketplace and represent the Cargill brand.20% – Compile and analyze data, assist in account set-up, quote prices, trade execution, conceptualize hedge structures and ideas, confirm trades.? Bring the Outside In. Be innovative, bring industry knowledge to develop new hedging business tailored products, connect and partner with existing Cargill businesses to find added value customer solutions and improve policies, and best practices.20% – Maintain and manage the risk profile for the customers we serve by understanding the risk(s) associated with commodity price movements, against extended volume and credit line extension for our customers.? Using this data, then work with the customer to determine the best derivative product for the customer to implement.10% – Coordinate with CRM credit, trading, operations, reporting and other functional areas to ensure full compliance with existing regulations and policies, and ensure a positive customer experience.Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.#LI-JG1Skills:
Education, Experience, SkillsMinimum Required Qualifications4-year bachelor?s degree required in accounting, business administration, finance, marketing, economics or equivalent.5+ years of customer-facing sales and origination experience in the oil & gas/energy industry including building a portfolio of customer relationships and managing both small and large hedging relationships.In-depth understanding of the broader energy segments with an emphasis on knowledge of fundamentals and pricing dynamics.? Broad understanding of derivatives and risk management strategies.?Knowledge of commodities and capital markets and possess an ability to understand the implications of market movements.Team player with demonstrated willingness to widely share knowledge and expertise.Strong business and commercial acumen, with a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge and experience in the energy consumer segment a plus.Additional languages beyond English.Strong presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strategic thinking, industry analysis and market segmentation and prioritization skills.Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Eikon & ICE Chats and energy tradin
