Insight FS is part of the GROWMARK System, a regional agricultural cooperative serving more than 250,000 customers across North America.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSImplements company goals and objectives to grow the energy business and develop profitable professional relationships with internal and external customers Provides assistance with and implements sales strategies that generate profitable sales to existing and prospective customers within a specific region. Develops an understanding of all energy product lines along with marketing strategy, plans, and program execution, branding, budgeting, communications, sales, pricing, training, and new market development strategies. Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniques and prepares written proposals, quotations, and sales contracts when calling on regular and prospective customers. Acts as an internal coach and mentor to sales and delivery personnel within selected territory. Maintains regular contact with internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Identifies progressive customers and coordinates with local sales and delivery personnel to call on and close new customer business. Keeps accurate area records and reports of all sales and prospecting to develop a competitive analysis and maximize territory potential. Maintains a current knowledge of energy product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends. Implements innovative sales programs and pricing strategies, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and local sales and delivery team. Promotes the use of credit programs and FS Agri-Finance as a sales tool and helps provide the required information to establish credit. Participates/creates presentations for selected sales activities, i.e. customer meetings, trade shows and sales meetings to keep abreast of sales trends and represent Insight FS at industry events. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSProvide backup support for Sales and Delivery Specialists. Deliver refined fuel and LP on an as-needed basis during absences or during busy seasons. Follows GROWMARK s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTSNormally requires a Bachelor s degree in business or related area or the equivalent thereof, and 4 years or more of business related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate sales leadership, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record. Must obtain CDL driver s licenses with air brakes, tanker and HazMat endorsements and Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) certification. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable professional certifications associated with the energy industry (i.e. EMS, CPS, etc.). Will be required to travel independently and overnight. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as warranted by business conditions. Occasionally exposed or required to: Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measuresMay be required to work at varying heightsLift 51 – 70 lbs. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
