Company: Prairieland FSHiring Manager: Abbe Little & Tonya CrowLocation: Auburn, ILPURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENTThe role of Energy Sales Associate will be to serve as an associate to our Energy Sales team.  This position will serve under the direction of the Energy Sales Area Manager, as well as learn hands-on from the Prairieland FS Sales and Service team members.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for making deliveries in a timely manner under the direction of the Energy Salesmen.  Providing excellent customer service by listening to the customers and following up with any issues or questions they may have.  Responsible for learning the product lines and available proprietary products.  Maintain a working knowledge of the marketplace and the competition. Provide value-added energy products, services, and recommendations to patrons and prospects.  Schedule product delivery to customer locations.  Assist with patron meetings on product and technical information.  Understand marketing plans and sales strategies that generate profitable sales in the assigned territory. Learn target marketing and professional sales techniques including the FS sales interview road map, energy management programs, emphasis of appropriate features and benefits, and contact management system when calling on patrons and prospects. Ensures the credit worthiness of customers, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.  Promotes the use of credit programs as a sales tool and helps provide the required information to establish credit.  Works closely with the credit department in collection of accounts receivable.  OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSResponsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image. Performs other duties as assigned.  REQUIREMENTS Education and ExperienceRequires high school diploma or equivalent.  Prefers additional college training or technical school and at least 5 years of work history in sales, delivery, or service. Normally requires an Energy Management Specialist (EMS) certification or the ability to obtain one to demonstrate advanced energy sales training and experience. Understanding of all energy products along with sales ability/persuasiveness, face-to-face selling skills, assertiveness, tenacity/persistence, resilience, competitive adeptness, credit worthiness, and product proficiency.  Functional CompetenciesDemonstrated supervisory experience including hiring, orientation, coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, and training and development, etc. and the ability to get work done through others. Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.  Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills. Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated math skills and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, etc. Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.  Core CompetenciesDemonstrate essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.  Other RequirementsMust have and maintain a valid CDL with hazmat endorsements. Ability to travel independently and overnight as needed. Must have the ability to work beyond what would be considered normal working hours.  Continuously exposed or required to:Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)Noisy conditionsWorking conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.Work at varying heightsConfined spacesLift 70-100 lbs.Pushy heavy objects Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.  Prairieland FS, Inc strives to provide a Total Rewards package that delivers exceptional pay for exceptional performance, recognizes your dedication to our mission and helps us attract and retain the highest caliber of talent.  The cornerstone of our benefits package is the company paid, defined benefit pension plan along with health and disability insurance, employer matched 401k plan, and other voluntary group benefit programs. We are an equal opportunity employer. Skills:
