Yorkville, ILPURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Under the direction of the Energy Department Manager, generates profitable sales in the assigned territory through target marketing, competitive analysis, and providing value-added energy products, services, and recommendations. Ensures the creditworthiness of customers and promotes credit programs as marketing tools.?ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Is knowledgeable of Company programs, billing procedures, and monthly statement process.?Provides customer service by using all resources available including contracting, fuel and oil testing, specific recommendations and other programs needed.?Follow up on customer complaints, seeks a reasonable ?win/win? resolution.?Develops territory and competitive analysis to maintain current knowledge of the market place and the competition.?Provides value-added energy products, services, and recommendations to patrons and prospects. Meets regularly with patron on product and technical information.?Establishes a route system in delivery territory, delivers petroleum products according to customer requirements.?Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales.?Maintains a preferred prospect list and calls on prospective customers to solicit new business.?Communicates marketing programs and distributes sales promotion materials to customers and prospects.?Collects accounts as needed according to credit policy.?Follows up on customer complaints and seeks solutions in a timely manner.?Submits required reports promptly as requested by supervisor and communicates activities in trade territory on a regular basis.?Maintains bulk plant and equipment used to move product.?OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS ?Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adheres to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.?Performs all other duties as assigned.?REQUIREMENTS ?Normally required a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years or more of sales experience to demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns.?Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. Must be able to obtain Energy Advisor Certification?Must be able to get in and out of, as well as operate all required vehicles and equipment, and must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and steps, etc at required heights to perform duties.?Must be able to stay overnight on occasion.?Must have knowledge or willingness to learn all of applicable Company computer programs.?Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Must be able to lift 60 pounds.?Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.?Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered ?normal.??Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions. Working conditions may occasionally include dust, fumes, and chemicals. And electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.?Must follow all rules and regulations of Grainco FS as listed in the employee handbook. Must be able to climb heights of 15 ft frequently on a daily basis.?Education and Experience ?Normally requires a high school diploma or GED.?Normally requires three to five years of route delivery.?Functional Competencies ?Understanding of energy products, record keeping, and reporting.?Proven ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment.Apply for this job.
