We currently have a position available at our Rock Springs Plant in Rock Springs, WY.
The Rock Springs resource-rich area offers affordable housing and excellent high desert recreation. SUMMARYEnvironmental engineers apply their problem-solving skills and scientific knowledge to projects that impact the environment. Provide technical-level support for environmental remediation and litigation projects, including remediation system design and determination of regulatory applicability. Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs. Inspect our facility and programs in order to evaluate operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Designing, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions which will help our organization reduce any impact on the environment. RESPONSIBILITIES* Consulting with businesses on how to handle hazardous waste and develop environmental protection strategies and establish internal compliance guidelines. * Create and present environmental training programs for all employees to ensure knowledge of environmental compliance procedures. * Designing environmental protection projects for soil and water treatment and remediation, air quality systems and waste-to-energy operations. * Preparing work plans and reports and obtaining and maintaining permits for environmental investigations and monitoring sites ; negotiate permit and monitoring conditions. * Interpreting scientific data for quality-control purposes and presenting engineering calculations to the business and regulators. * Prepare, track, and control annual Environmental and Mine Engineering operating and capital budgets. * Directing and developing other engineers and technicians.
REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university* 5+ years demonstrated experience in managing projects.* 5+ years experience with environmental engineering, optimization, and improvement. * Proficient with Siemens (PCS7 and TIA Portal platforms), as well as with Allen-Bradley PLCs.* Work with I/E Techs to diagnose field issues.* Experience in Phosphate Industry/Phosphoric Acid Fertilizer mfg. preferred. * Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects. * Must be able to show initiative and be a 'self-starter' to achieve working goals. * Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. * Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management and other regulatory requirements. * Provide process design support for new projects.
