Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Maintenance Engineering Associate, Technical Expertise (1900090) – Angleton, TX Where the Chemistry HappensWe have a great opportunity for a maintenance process specialist to join our Technical Expertise team to provide support for BASF Corporation sites in North America and contribute to global improvements as part of the global BASF Maintenance and Reliability Support community. You will join a team that provides on-site and remote support to continuously improve performance and address specific maintenance issues and opportunities in the region while identifying and promoting best practices to support best in class performance. We are relying on you to lead regionally and at times globally the development of strategies, programs and processes to improve and ensure maintenance performance consistently meets Business Unit expectations. Formula for Success Leveraging your maintenance process expertise and industry knowledge, you will drive improvements at BASF sites in the region, including leading assessments, implementation consultations, training/coaching, rollout of program improvements and follow up support for optimization and sustainability.Leading and driving the optimization of site/unit maintenance programs, tools and work processes, you will deliver improved business performance by reducing production losses and optimizing costs. This includes the identification and prioritization of high level opportunities across the BASF Corporation landscape of sites as well as the implementation of agreed solutions and improvements. Typical maintenance services and methodologies could include Maintenance Assessments to identify improvement opportunities, Maintenance Process Training, Benchmarking (internal and external), monitor Performance Indicators and identify specific improvement opportunities, etc.Your keen attention to detail will be a valued asset as you lead the evaluation and implementation of Asset Integrity programs for sites and units in the region.As a trusted resource for technical expertise, you will successfully lead regional and global maintenance improvement initiatives.Your working knowledge of continuous improvement processes will be useful as you drive innovation and efficiency in the maintenance process Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will partner with global colleagues to align on work processes, procedures, methodologies, best practices, etc. Successfully engaging across the region, you will collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and research personnel at multiple sites and business units.Utilizing your strong communication skills, you will effectively communicate opportunities and recommendations to management.Your ability to make crucial business decisions and recommendations will be valued as you identify areas for improvement to increase equipment reliability in the region.
