Position Purpose & SummaryCargill Cocoa and Chocolate (CCC) employs about 3500 people across the world. The organization operates globally 37 manufacturing sites varying from simple sourcing warehouses to complex manufacturing processing plants in complex environments with a variety of technologies .?The Engineering Manager is responsible for the facility capital spending and has approval authority on all facility capital projects for the facility and will contribute as well for North American projects.? This position manages return on investments and develops both long and short-term capital spending plans. This position is responsible for as well maintaining and executing on a loRequired Qualifications? Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, or Biosystems Engineering or other engineering discipline that has a strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mass/material balance and process design? 10 or more years in project engineering and/or operations supervision. Experience outside of project engineering is a plus such as operations and maintenance? Working knowledge of project management practices (PDP, PPM, Build,)? Knowledge of project scheduling techniques? Working knowledge of food safety and EH&S requirements? Demonstrated high levels of organization, communication and documentation skills? Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and delegate? Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead multifunctional teams and personnel? Motivation and ability to execute projects/tasks in a timely manner? Strong prioritization and time management skills? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives/projects and communicate goals, objectives and accomplishments to a broad audience? Demonstrated ability to influence others? This individual is accountable for meeting the project objectives through the leadership and collaboration of a multifunctional project team. This individual completes the financial analysis for project payback to determine business case considering operating expense impacts, working capital and investment analysis.? This role develops mentoring and coaching skills when developing less experienced engineers.? This role develops leadership skills in ?leading by influence? to ensure stakeholder expectations are met.? Development of communication with a diverse team at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and support.? This role also develops and enhances technical skills in the area of unit operations design, operation and optimization, codes, standards, specifications.? This position works with the operating departments to solve reoccurring quality, safety, environmental and production problems and maintains oversight for natural resources and energy conservation activities at a facility level.?This role leads multifunctional project teams within region of responsibility and develops and manages all personnel and tasks involved in project management from project development to start-up including construction and commissioning activities.??This position develops the procurement, bidding and contracting strategies for the project, reviews bid packages and leads the negotiations on equipment, engineering and labor packages.? This Leader is responsible for determining the appropriate construction management processes considering safety, schedule, efficiency, cost management and documentation and is accountable for meeting all project objectives using the appropriate Project Management practices including PDP, Build, PDRI, and PPM as applicable to each project size and scope.? This position has an important role on managing the site engineers within the hub region and is accountable for developing local engineering talent to support the site and regional capital execution.?Principal Accountabilities25% – Defines and is accountable for project objectives and facilitates interaction with project sponsor and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.? Defines viable alternatives to meet project objectives.? Develops capital budget, schedule, scope, operating costs, resource needs, and benefits for each option. Performs financial analysis on each viable option and selects best option. Writes commitment and charter for funding approval if appropriate.? Fully utilize Project Management Guidelines, PDP, Build, and PPM processes as needed to properly execute project.?
