Entry Level Electrical Engineer – #01FZ4
Monsanto is looking for an entry level electrical engineer to join our Global Engineering organization located at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO. This role will provide electrical and process control engineering designs for assigned projects, with an emphasis on support of electrical power distribution for Seeds Supply and Seeds Breeding facility projects, as well as power distribution and controls design for chemical facilities. This engineer supports multiple sites and multiple projects concurrently. Scope of work includes development and maintenance of standard electrical design and installation specifications, and execution of project engineering design. Project deliverables include electrical and controls estimates, electrical equipment specifications, power distribution and grounding design, process control system specifications, lighting design, equipment and materials purchase requisitions, electrical and controls drawings, construction bid packages, and on-site qualification of electrical and controls facilities. Electrical equipment includes medium and low voltage distribution, motors and packaged equipment. Process control systems are primarily PLC based. Additional duties include evaluation of site power requirements, performing short circuit analysis and protective device coordination studies, and providing project startup and other troubleshooting support for seeds and chemical facilities as requested. Specific project duties include preparing project electrical specifications and summaries for front end design packages, working with the electrical designer to develop project drawings for electrical and control layouts, schematics and installation details, reviewing electrical and control vendor drawings, and supporting construction as required.Qualifications:B.S.
