ADM Golden Peanut is seeking a qualified candidate with a minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably in a manufacturing or processing facility, to fill position of an Environmental Coordinator at the location in Dawson, GA.
ADM is looking for a qualified individual to help the Dawson and Blakely, GA, peanut oil and peanut flour processing locations become an industry leader in environmental compliance and stewardship. While working both in an office and industrial facility environment, the Environmental Coordinator will handle a broad range of activities and will be responsible for supervising the implementation of ADM?s Environmental Mission Statement and Principles.
The Environmental Coordinator?s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Helps the locations stay in constant compliance with all ADM, federal, state and local government regulations as related to environmental regulations and requirements.Updates, develop and implement environmental programsProvides training for employees and contractors (including new hire orientation, monthly and annual training) related to environmental programsPreparation of all required reports and maintaining all necessary records/documentation related to environmental programs for the facilityParticipates in and leads all internal and external environmental audits or environmental agency visits and prioritizes, assigns and tracks the audit findings for completionParticipates in all environmental incident investigationsGets involved with other regulatory programs as required by the plant managerAssists the Southern Region Environmental Manager with activities at other plants throughout the regionThe facilities operate around the clock so the Environmental Coordinator will be on call 24/7 and may be called into work for after hour emergencies. The Environmental Coordinator will occasionally be required to work at times other than normal business (day shift) hours to accommodate plant needs; i.e. training.Other responsibilities will be reviewed during the on-site interview.Requirements:College degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or equivalent science discipline preferred. Food processing plant operation experience is a plus. Interested candidates must have training and a working knowledge of environmental regulations, possess a hands-on/working knowledge of plant operations, Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet development. Self-motivated and must have excellent command of the following skills: leadership, team building, problem solving, organization, and both written and verbal communication.
