Position Summary:This position offers an exciting opportunity for a safety professional to provide leadership, advancement and the management of the health & safety, food safety, and environmental compliance within the Camp Hill, PA flour milling facility.
Successful candidate must possess a high level of authority in regards to training and guiding employees based on safety needs.
This crucial position allows the successful candidate to gain exposure working in both an office environment, as well as an industrial setting.
In addition, this position offers the opportunity to champion various committees, including audit and incident investigation, emergency planning, risk assessment, program development, implementation, and training of rules and procedures.
Facilitate colleagues? commitment toward safety and health through coaching and mentoringSupervise the implementation of ADM?s policies and procedures with the ability to effectively communicate these requirementsDevelop and present training for new hires, contractors, and location colleagues as requiredDevelop preventative and proactive programs to positively impact incident and injury improvement opportunitiesDirect colleague interaction Develop, update, and maintain safety, food safety, and environmental compliance programsDevelop, analyze and submit of reportsEnsure compliance with Process Safety StandardsManage MOC, JSA and SOP development and continuous improvementCalibrate and assist with ongoing maintenance of safety equipmentPurchase and maintain inventory of safety, food safety, and environmental suppliesEnvironmental responsibilities including maintaining reports and verifying complianceSupervise employees, contractors and visitors by spending a significant amount of time in the plant ensuring all programs and procedures are adequate and being followedDevelop and maintain proper document retentionSustain and improve current behavior based safety programs and policiesMaintain required paperwork such as OSHA 300 logs in compliance with federal lawLead and participate in all incident investigations Conduct internal facility audits and facility self-assessmentsDevelop and track corrective actions for audit findingsLead and participate in on-site safety committee Job Requirements: Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of computer systems and safety equipmentProven ability to assess risks and exercise sound judgment in making decisions Work with QA department as neededCollege degree relating to safety and/or environmental preferred5 years of safety supervision or similar management experience preferredPrefer experience in human safety, food safety, environmental/regulatory complianceMust be self-motivated Must possess excellent leadership, team building, problem solving, and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication requiredMust be willing and able to effectively present material to a groupExperience in a food processing plant is strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookPhysical Requirements: This position requires walking, climbing stairs, ladders or standing for extended periods and working in environments at varying temperatures.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs.This position requires an individual that is available to come to work during off-hours to address emergency conditions or other situations that may arise.
