The purpose of this role is to provide technical support for the
Environmental Operation unit. Identify
efficiency improvement opportunities through data mining from multiple sources
including historical process data, daily white board issues, and daily
interactions with operations personnel. Design and execute process studies to
refine the process envelope. Develop integrated/coordinated project scopes,
push these through design, installation and start up in expeditious
manner. Identify reliability issues and
utilize Total Process Reliability teams to collaborate with maintenance and
project groups to quickly improve performance of bad actors having negative
impact on OEE. Support unit through
real time production reporting, product quality control, yield and raw material
efficiency monitoring. Support environmental improvements, reporting and
Ensure the EO Unit continues to implement
continuous improvement actions that increase production capacity.
Monitor yield, product quality and variable
costs and optimize relative to throughput.
Deliver fixed cost improvement initiatives.
Deliver environmental reporting to ERAG as
needed and support incidents with supporting calculations
Mine Lean idea backlog, combine ideas/projects
as appropriate to improve unit operation and cost efficiency
Critical success factors &

Gain a fundamental understanding of the EO Unit
Processes and all associated equipment
Lead the implementation of top priority process
improvement ideas for the EO Unit
Support efforts to implement continuous
Knowledge, experience &
Critical knowledge and
Minimum educational experience is BS Chemical
2 years experience related to environmental or
chemical related fields.
Environmental engineering experience preferred
Process safety and hazard recognition training
Environmental code and compliance awareness
Critical technical, professional
and personal capabilities:
Must be able to communicate effectively with
non-technical operations personnel regarding process operations and equipment
Must be willing and able to create and present
information to all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
Must have technical understanding of processes
and equipment used in units
Problem analysis, data mining, able to identify
root cause issues for complicated process interactions.
Manage and rank multiple priorities, manage
stakeholder communication and expectation
Build Culture of innovation, Lead change, mange
for performance, collaborate across boundaries
