DuPont Capital shares our parent companys history of innovation and, over the years, has been on the forefront of global investment opportunities in developing both traditional and alternative strategies across equity, fixed income and alternative investments.Position OverviewThe equity research analyst will perform research to support fundamental equity strategies.Execute research on key sectors and industries as identified as high-potential candidates for value creation. Research includes analysis and communication of key long-term drivers, competitive dynamics and company specific strategies.Support and continuously improve ranking and screening processes for cash flow, return on capital and capital allocation.For companies that meet desired characteristics, estimate long-term earnings power, cash flow generation, sustainability of free cash flow, and use of free cash flow. Analyze the historical and prospective capital allocation track record of a companys management team.Work closely with portfolio managers on the day-today management of the portfolios.ResponsibilitiesConduct independent and in depth fundamental research with a focus on industry/sub-sector dynamics in favorable industries.Develop company forecasts and perform scenario analysis.Make investment recommendations based on written investment thesis and earnings and cash flow models.Participate in portfolio meetings and help strengthen the investment process.Up to 50% travel required. (25-50%).QualificationsProfessional experienceBachelors degree in finance, economics or a related field.2-5 years of investment experience.MBA and/or CFA is strongly preferred.Experience either as a financial analyst or research analyst for financial services firms preferred.Experience utilizing investment related analytical tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, BARRA, or Thomson-Reuters preferred.Specific skills and qualifications Passionate about investing, solid working knowledge of financial markets and market data.Valuation discipline, knowledge of accounting methodologies, and ability to evaluate capital allocation decisions.Disciplined and detail oriented analysis.The ideal candidate should have successful track record as an analyst/investor.Solid communication skills.Self-motivated, self-managed, flexible & enthusiastic, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Apply for this job.
