Extract Production Worker
Summary/ObjectiveThe Extract Production Worker performs all entry level tasks involved in the production of vanilla extract. This position must follow all established SOPs and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Balance safety, quality, and productivity to achieve positive results in all areas. The Extract Production Worker must always work to continuously improve all covered process activities.Assist Operators with daily pre operational setups.Understand all cleaning procedures including the PPE required to perform the task safely.Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards.Store ingredients properly and safely, using Julian dates and FIFO.Strictly follow all Process Safety Management regulations, including participation in emergency drills.Operate entry level equipment, (bean chopping machine, pneumatic pallet jacks, and tape guns).Keeps work area neat and clean at all times. Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation.Represent, promote, and enforce exceptionalism with all regulatory agencies (OSHA, SQF) and their applicable policies.CompetenciesAttention to DetailResults DrivenTeamwork OrientationStress Management/ComposureTime ManagementSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, which could contain skin irritants and allergens. Occasionally, the Extract Operator will work with moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee will be exposed to hot equipment and highly hazardous chemicals. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Extract Production Workers may be asked to join the Rodelle HAZWOPER Team. Members of the HAZWOPER Team occasionally wear full face respirators which can be physically and psychologically challenging.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.Required Minimum QualificationsEducational Requirements:Required High school diploma or GED.Experience Requirements:Preferred One year of manufacturing experience.Apply for this job.
