Position Purpose & Summary?The successful candidate will be expected to manage report on key area targets such as employee safety, turnover, department costs, customer satisfaction, yields and production. Other accountabilities in this position might require: effective employee relations, adhering to annual budgets, work process improvement, downtime and follow up for process execution, and other duties as required.? This position demands high leadership and coaching skills for employees in the Fabrication area.?Principal Accountabilities???30% – Monitoring and enforcing all company safety and food safety policies and practices.??10% – Develop strategies for operations of assigned area to include technical optimization of processes.??10% – Meeting yield, quality and product specification standard.??50% – Collaborate with area supervisors to achieve business results.Skills:
Minimum Required Qualifications??Four Year college degree or 5+ years previous experience in Operations Supervision.??The ability to coach, and desire to maintain maximum results in the areas of Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Efficiencies, yields etc.??Knowledge of all applicable OSHA, USDA and Environmental laws and standards.??Advanced computer skills, to include Microsoft Office, Kronos, Peoplesoft, Maximo and all related Cargill production systems.??Be adaptable to change, motivated, with excellent organizational and problem solving skills.??Must have “Meets” or higher rating on their two most recent performance reviews.??The ability to function in a fast paced environment with little direct supervision.??The ability to interact with other departments and functions to obtain the best business results possible, including Maintenance, Technical Services, Accounting, Sanitation and Human Resources.?Preferred Qualifications??4 year College degree (engineering, business administration, animal science or related field).??Bilingual: English-Spanish or English-Somali.
