Facilities Maintenance Technician
CHS has an exciting opportunity within our Building Services department. We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing organization. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be customer focused and have the ability to solve problems. You will:Provide quality service in a timely and professional manner and conduct regular inspections and evaluations of the buildings and grounds.Answer calls and requests relating to general plumbing repairs, office moves, furniture inventory and meeting room set-ups.Conduct preventative maintenance and repair tasks on building equipment as required.Work with Building Services team to conduct snow clearing / removal and general landscaping tasks, able to operate machineryWork with outside contractors in a professional manner to complete jobs in a timely manner.Establish, build, and maintain strong working relationships with CHS staff and vendors.Required to be on-call for emergencies and work extended hours to meet business needs. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Valid driver license Basic Qualifications: (required)High School diploma or GED is this required by CHSDOT physical current (or must complete within 30 days of hire)Experience troubleshooting equipment, identify and complete appropriate repairs, and implement measures to prevent reoccurring maintenance problemsProficient in MS Outlook and use of mobile technologyRequired to be on-call for emergencies and work extended hours to meet business needsAbility to work a rotating day time shiftsAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb stairs continuously, climb ladders and work at heights up to 120ftAbility to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions Preferred Qualifications: (preferred)Technical degree in building / facilities maintenanceBoiler?s licenseElectrical light certificationEnergy Management Systems (EMS) experiencePreventive maintenance experienceExperience in an office / corporate settingKnowledge of OSHA and Fire code regulationsApply for this job.
