Where the Chemistry Happens
BASF is seeking a professional like you to deliver a wide range of facility related services at our R&D Pilot Plant facility located in Beachwood, OH. Your specialized engineering and facility management experience will provide strategic maintenance and engineering support to the site by leading reliability activities and driving maintenance strategies, overseeing continuous improvement and leading the support of processes to maintain safe operations, and efficient maintenance management.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in
Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Electrical preferred), your experience
with Facility Engineering and/or Facility Management or similar
experience, and your knowledge of security systems (access control,
cameras, etc.), you will be responsible for the site?s utilities, physical
security and safety, parking facilities, grounds keeping, maintenance,
small capital investments, daily operations, general administrative
support, housekeeping, service reliability and continuous improvement of
these activities.Knowledge of safety systems,
such as safe work permitting, incident investigation, and the like
combined with your commitment to workplace safety and compliance will be
valued assets as you ensure a safe environment for all persons and that
the site is in full compliance with all local, state and federal EHS
regulations.Demonstrating your knowledge of
HVAC systems, building automation systems and other utilities, you will be
accountable for the site?s infrastructure and maintain reliability of the
systems. Knowledge of Preventive
and Predictive Maintenance Programs will also serve you well in this area.Proficiency in the usage of SAP
software will aid you in carrying out your responsibilities for all
Shipping/Receiving activities that will ensure goods are shipped and
received safely and follow BASF policies under SAP. You will manage one
direct report for this function.Your strong ability to lead and
maintain confidentiality is vital as you provide administrative support
for site by managing one direct report (Administrative Assistant) and
acting as the Information Protection Officer for this site.Your solid business acumen will
be essential as you will be accountable to develop the site?s operating budget
and to manage annual spending within the plan. Successfully collaborating with
others, you will prepare and maintain Environmental Health and Safety
operating logs/other regulatory reports in collaboration with EHS Site
