Feed Mill Manager
Position Purpose & Summary
As the Feed Mill Manager, you will be required to provide leadership and coaching for administrative, maintenance and production employees.? The successful candidate will have to meet key targets in the areas of employee safety, turnover, department costs, customer satisfaction and government regulations.? To meet department goals, the Feed Mill Manager will be responsible for over seeing safety programs, employee engagement, maintaining annual budgets, work process improvement and management of downtime.

50% Work with administrative personel to manage ingredient, feed sold, Cargill and government regulations.
25% Working with production and maintenance staff to produce feed efficiently.
10% Assisting the contract delivery Supervisor on delivery issues.
10% Keeping documentation current with government regulations, audits, PVP, and FSMA.

??B.S. in Agricultural Related Field (I.e, Poultry, Animal Science, Dairy, etc.) or equivalent experience
??Prior experience with poultry growing operations, such as demonstrated by 3 to 5 years experience as Grow Out Service technician or similar. (I.e, Chicken or Turkey)
??1-3 years live production/ feed mill experience
??Ability to work in outlying areas with some travel required, to meetings and other locations.
??Ability to lead a diverse team.
??Ability to multi-task.
??Proficient computer skills. (Microsoft Word and Excel)
??Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
??Excellent written and verbal communication skills.?
??Demonstrated ability to make critical independent decisions under time constraints.
??Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including some weekend and holiday work and some travel.
Must be comfortable interacting with members of the community as well as contract growers and company officials at all levels of the organization.
