Fermentation Associate Investigator
DuPont???s IndustrialBiosciences Fermentation Team, located in Wilmington, Delaware has an excitingopening for a Fermentation Associate Investigator. The Fermentation Associate Investigator is responsible for operatingthe SIP/CIP and fermentation system at the 1L to 200L scale by following theexperimental design and guidance of fermentation engineers. A successful candidate is responsible forsetting up the fermenters, preparing seed flasks, monitoring/controllingfermentation process via the SCADA system, processing samples for near-lineassays, troubleshooting the processes based on the process data and near-linedata, harvesting cultures, cleaning up fermenters, and maintaining the fermentationsystem and its supporting equipment. Thecandidate is expected to work in a team environment and be willing to occasionallywork on a flexible schedule (including changing working hours per businessneeds). A successful candidate alsoneeds to communicate effectively with co-workers and partners on a daily basis,implement safety protocols, and write standard operating procedures that enablesafe operation of the facility.
