Fertilizer Manager

?Helena Chemical Company, a national agricultural-chemical company, has an immediate opening for a Fertilizer Manager at our Orangeburg Fertilizer, SC location.??SUMMARY:? Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in Branch fertilizer operations. Assumes responsibility for fertilizer inventory, bulk storage, tank farm operations, blending of liquid and dry fertilizers, and delivery (set-up to customers).?ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:??Purchases fertilizer and maintains inventory control.?Manages bulk storage tank farm.?Ensures regulatory compliance of fertilizer equipment.?Directs the blending of liquid and dry fertilizers.?Analyses product profitability and efficient utilization of company owned equipment.?Assists?Division Manager in developing marketing plans to maximize fertilizer income..?Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.?Regular and reliable attendance is required.?SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:? Supervises fertilizer set-up personnel.?QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:? To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.? Bachelor of Science degree and 3 to 5 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.? Thorough understanding of fertilizer products, blending, logistics, and marketing strategies.?OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:??Management experience.?Knowledge of DOT Regulation.?Knowledge of small engine and pump repair.Excellent communication skills?PHYSICAL DEMANDS:?
