Fertilizer Terminal Manager
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy Division. We are looking for a Fertilizer Terminal Manager. You will manage employees, operations, financial budget, capital expenditures and communicate/monitor Environmental, Health and Safety programs established by the company and government agencies, both state and federal. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to make decisions and work independently.You will:Manage Little Rock, AR Operations and Liquid Fertilizer Terminal in Texarkana, TX in the Crop Nutrients Delta Region.Manage recruiting, hiring and training of full time and seasonal employees.Maintain Plant Operations and Customer Service to maximize plant efficiencies and control expenses.Ensure Timely processing of receipts, blends and shipments at OPI's, invoice suppliers for throughput, inventory accuracy (resolve inventory recon issues).Coordinate with suppliers and OPI operators on delivery of product (railcar, barge, truck).Ensure timely and efficient product loading/unloading (rail, truck, barge).Work with sales, marketing, and supply to increase market share with both new and existing accounts.Work with third party contractual agreements and develop third parties income options.Implement, maintain and monitor Environmental Health Safety programs to meet all corporate and governmental regulations surrounding the Crop Nutrients Terminal location.Provide a safe and environmentally sound working environment for our terminal employees.Manage capital expenditure planning: review and monitor to meet company standards and stay within approved spending limits.Travel 1-2 times per year.Spend 25% of time on heavy equipment operations (loaders, rail cars, trucks).Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor’s degree (additional years of experience may offset degree requirement)5 years of experience in Terminal Operations to include: customer service, employee supervision, managing budgetsExperience working with OSHA & government regulationsProficient with Microsoft Word & ExcelHeavy Equipment experiencePreferred Qualifications: (desired)Bachelor’s degree in Ag BusinessTerminal Manager experienceVendor management experienceSales experienceApply for this job.
