Field Checker-Reno, NV
Position Description: The field checker will be responsible for inspecting farmers fields and records weed, insect, disease and other observations (including monitoring traps), tissue and soil sampling. This position plays an important role in field scouting services offered to help make timely informed and economical field crop decisions. You will report to one supervisor who is responsible for your schedule, safety procedure training and agronomy training including weed, insect and disease identification, pest and crop population counts, crop and weed staging and other diagnostic issues that may occur in fields. You will have daily contact with your supervisor along with location representatives and other employees as required. You will be supplied with equipment to do your job.Position Requirements:- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior pursuing a BS in Plant Science, Crop & Soil Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Botany- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening Other Information: – Hourly wage- Applicants must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record – Applicants must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time under all weather conditions – Above average organizational skills, ability to understand new concepts and learn quickly, complete work targets with little or no supervision in a timely manner, self-motivated*EOE plus AA employerApply for this job.
