Field Crew Leader – #01RQY
We are seeking a motivated Field Crew Leader. This position will be located in Juana Diaz, PR, reporting to our Field and Shade House Nursery Operation. Key Responsibilities:Assist the Fields the Screen House nurseries operations team in tasks such as but not limited to planting, tissue sampling, transplanting, managing pollinations and seed harvest.Collect data; create reports to internal and external partners to make decisions within the operations. Conduct and report independent experiments and implement process improvements efforts to maximize the efficiency and quality of the soy and cotton operations, infrastructure and agronomic practices in the screen houses. Assist site agronomists and seed technicians with Soybean and cotton nurseries operation, crop management, agronomic practices in open field and inside screen houses.Support equipment and screen houses inspections, manage leave dryer process. Comply with USDA, EPA and Product Stewardship regulations following Monsanto???s guidelines Ensure compliance with Worker Protection Standards (WPS) as well as Monsanto safety guidelines and housekeeping practices.Perform tasks regarding complying with ISO and Monsanto policies and Quality standard, including safeguarding of equipment daily use logs, calibration and maintenance.Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience:Valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems / Basic computer skillsCollege degreePrior agricultural / seed industry experience or a related field.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to build strong relationships and networks with Monsanto managers, peers, and other support groups to optimize process workflows and assist in achieving the team???s business goals.Proven ability to balance and prioritize tasks.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral)Demonstrated and traceable experience in the seed industry on farm management or a related field Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
