For more information about us please visit www.syngenta.com.Role Purpose Provide leadership to sales / agronomy training and development strategies, systems, and assessment for US seeds; direction and follow up to enhance the culture to achieve the Syngenta Purpose and ensure fulfillment of the Syngenta values through a consistent approach to learning and teaching opportunities across all ofthe SyngentaSeed business.This role will work across a matrix organization leveraging Syngenta learning and capability standards for local adaptation taking direction from the Head of Sales Services & Training.Provide direction and guidance from a seeds perspective for Developmental Sales Rep (DSR) program and Intern program, which is a service shared with our CP business. This includes the final selection of participants that supports a best in class coordinated recruiting and on-boarding program.Ensure delivery and management of the AgroCore culture throughout the organization. Manage sales trainer(s) and utilize HPSC to achieve this purpose and influence the agronomy function to ensure demonstration of these principles.Accountabilities To create and support a learning & assessment environment throughout the sales organization that encourages people to develop themselves and each other.This position will organize and facilitate training sessions which will raise levels of competence, performance, confidence and commitment.Assesses, designs, develops , implements and evaluates training programs for field sales force in utilizing appropriate internal and external resources. Primary focus is on the sales employees and resellers.Budgetary planning and reporting responsibilities for Seeds FFE&T.Coordinate with CP the DSR training plan, Summer Intern Program andsales employees and reselleron-boarding program.Represent the Seeds as point-person for Talent Acquisition processes related to recruiting open positions as needed.Manage direct reports, sales trainer(s), and vendors to achieve the FFE&T objectives.Knowledge, experience & capabilitiesCritical knowledgeBachelors or Masters degree preferredStrong knowledge of training concepts and adult learning principlesSales conceptsBudget creation and managementBachelors degree in communications, marketing or related field, agricultural or education or equivalent amount of education and experience.Critical experience10+ years training and/or recruiting and/or sales related experience and/or organization developmentSuccessful experience in a sales managementPrevious experience in training program development, management and facilitation of training courses would be an assetPeople management experience requiredAgronomy understanding is required.Facilitation of Key Organizational Teams, Background and Experience with External O.D.
