Field Operations Technician II

This position requires you to work equally well independently and in a team environment.Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to the following:Field map preparation; seed field management activities such as parent seed planning, scouting, field maintenance, roguing, IPM, etc.Maintain a positive working relationship with growers, roguing crews, and seed field inspectors which may include scheduling when to enter fieldsHarvest activities such as preparation, final field inspections, etc. Will assist in the supervision of the entire process (such as IPM, field inspections, sampling, harvest, etc.), which would include supervision of staff, scheduling of work, product flow, problem solving, etc.Handle a high volume of complex activitiesCompliance with IOMS documents and Quality Plan requiredCompliance and support of all safety initiatives and programs is requiredMeet demands in timely fashion while maintaining a high degree of accuracyMaintain/report Grower Pesticide Application RecordsMeet demands in timely fashion while maintaining a high degree of accuracyAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:The following are required:High School Diploma/GEDA valid driver?s licenseWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periodsWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive liftingWilling and able to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaksExcellent time managementAbility to prioritize tasksAbility to work in a diverse team environmentEffective working independently and in teamsThe following are preferred:Associates degree or higher related to agriculturePrevious training on field inspectionCertified Pesticide Applicator licenseKnowledge of production agriculture and production plant operationsKnowledge of field equipment and techniques (irrigation, scouting, combine settings, etc.)Ability to provide necessary training and supervise/coach othersDigital Agriculture experienceAgronomic knowledge and/or experienceWe are excited to announce that Corteva Agriscience? is the name of the new Agriculture Division of DowDuPont?.
