Field Product Development Manager – Wheat An exciting organization that is laying the groundwork for furthering their innovative product line, is seeking someone with a solid background in Wheat to join their team to be a field based Product Development Manager. We are seeking someone who had experience identifying product needs in the marketplace and working with both the commercial and R&D side of an organization to take the necessary steps to bring these to trial and to the market. This isn’t necessarily a PhD type role, it’s more of someone who has a solid understanding and experience in the field working with retailers, distributors and farmers who have a solid understanding of the market and what’s needed but also who has a technical side and passion to understand products, how existing products could come together to really form an innovative new product that could really solve problems in Wheat today. We also need someone who is passionate about innovative new products and understands the push for BioAg type products and how they can be best utilized in today’s farming practices as well as where the future is headed for these products. This role will take someone who is: Motivated and a visionary in their ability to see how a product can be used and implemented Great communicator who can work across the customer base but also be respected in the research community Solid understanding of these crop markets and the end user and how to capture their needs and voice that back to the organization Excellent time management skills and decisive Global experience would but if not, at least the desire to work on a global levelRequirement: 10+ years in the Agriculture industry Field product development experience Solid knowledge of wheat Solid performance history BS requires with a Masters PreferredLocation is flexible but will need to live in the areas where the bulk of wheat is grown with the ability to travel fairly extensively and preference to someone who lives relatively close to an airport. Ag 1 Source offers an industry leading Referral Bonus Program that provides our networking partners with a financial reward of up to $500.
