Come grow with us!??General Purpose and Scope of Position:Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agricultural Field Services Technician responsible for using to transport and set-up agricultural equipment used by growers in the field. This position will inspect vehicle and equipment with every use and complete documentation of bulk material. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills to professionally interact with our customers. This is a seasonal / temporary position.Key Skills and Abilities Include:?Ability to operate all vehicles and equipment in a safe and legal mannerAbility to use GPS calibration toolsKnowledge in the set-up of various agricultural equipmentKnowledge of agricultural production and practices (beneficial)Knowledge of fabrication and fertilizer calibration (preferred)Ability to travel by vehicle or commercial transportation to other branches and customer locations / farmsKey Personal Attributes Include:?Maintain a neat appearance and convey professionalism with customersMaintain all licenses to comply with regulatory agenciesHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent driver?s licenseMust meet standards of Company Driver?s PolicyStrong customer service orientation required with the ability to interact positively with customersWillingness to work as a team and assume any task when requestedMust be reliable and punctual when reporting to workBilingual (English / Spanish preferred)Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:?Take out, set-up, and calibrate equipment to be used by growers in the fieldEnsure that all equipment is running and safe to operate ? this may include trucks, tractors, and other support equipment assigned to the branchTake soil and plant tissue samples as needed or directed by salesContact sales staff to resolve any disputes that may ariseMake sure materials are properly distributedMove and set-up tanks as neededCommunicate farm conditions with dispatchReview daily report of equipment and communicate with dispatch/sales team to ensure efficient movement of the equipmentComplete daily vehicle and equipment inspections every time vehicles and/or equipment are usedProperly identify and label all bulk material transportedRemove all documents from equipment upon returnKeep clean and efficient housekeeping of yard, office space, workshop, equipment, and personal vehicleComplete proper documents for tracking of equipmentComplete and carry all appropriate shipping documents for accurate invoicing and complianceAdditional duties as requestedCompensation and Benefits:?Competitive hourly wage (to be determined based on experience and other factors)Full employee health and retirement benefit offeringsIf you are currently a Wilbur-Ellis employee, please notify your Manager prior to applying for this position.
