Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst
Position PurposeThis Financial Accounting and Reporting Analyst position in the NA Accounting and Reporting team will support the Financial Accounting and Reporting Leads and serve as an accounting and finance partner to the NA ?CPS? Cargill Protein & Salt business in ensuring accuracy of the business financial statements, including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and various supporting schedules.
This role will also be an integral part of the annual budget process for the businesses supported and the annual external audit. This role will work directly with the Financial Accounting and Reporting Leads to ensure proper financial controls are in place and financial risks are mitigated appropriately. This role will also collaborate with other A&F teams, ?MIDS? Management Information & Decision Support, our finance shared service center ?CBS?, and local leadership teams to support the business and drive value.Principal Accountabilities 60%
Financial Reporting & PartneringAssist the Financial Accounting and Reporting Leads in the preparation of accurate monthly financial reporting and financial statements, including balance sheet, P&L, and supporting schedules, that reflect the economic activities of the business.Support monthly financial reporting and business financial reviews.Support various monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting entries and tieouts for the Protein business and ensure a high level of integrity for financial and management reporting requirementsCoordinate the annual budget process for the businesses supported.Build strong partnerships with business partners and collaborate on financial reconciliations and problem solving across various teams including COE?s, FSS/CBS locations, and across businesses.20%

Required QualificationsBachelor?s Degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 2 years of accounting experienceAbility to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, within multiple levels of the organizationStrong computer skills with proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet applicationsPreferred QualificationsCPA, MBA, or other advanced certificate or degree in finance/accountingExperience working in a shared service environmentFamiliarity with SAP/JDE and other integrated business systemsAudit, corporate reporting, or consolidations
