Financial Analyst The Finance Organization at Bayer has an exciting opportunity available for a Supply Chain Financial Analyst. This position will provide cost accounting, financial support and business analysis to various functions at the Luling Plant. Ensuring uninterrupted business support, compliance with US GAAP and corporate control policies, and accurate financials are key to this position. The successful candidate will be a member of our Finance Team at our Luling Plant. This exciting team helps with analysis work required by the team on financial analysis, product costing, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with Corporate Controller and SOX . Job responsibilities include:Responsible for monthly closing processes and accounting support for non-production areas (i.e. maintenance, capital, project expense, factory and indirect expenses, environmental, engineering, as well as utilities).Provides extensive reporting and metrics to evaluate efficiency, utilization and cost effectiveness and drive business decisions.Work closely with Global Supply Chain Finance team to ensure financial accuracy and analysis to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Support monthly forecast processes and annual budgeting processes for business.Responsible for working closely with various functions and levels of leadership to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures for expense vs. capital (i.e. submission of AR's, financial valuations, asset retirements, CRB presentations)Educate and standardize spend qualifications (i.e. capital vs. project expense vs. maintenance cost)Work to streamline, simplify and standardize processes and proceduresActively participate and lead special projects and continuous improvement opportunities as needed Qualifications: Required skills/experience: Bachelor???s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study3+ years of finance or accounting experiencePrevious SAP experienceStrong Excel (Data/Pivot Tables, References, Waterfalls, etc), Powerpoint skills Ability to build solid business relationships and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across various levels of the organization Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing business needsMust be a self-starter with proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a team environmentMust have analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to meet milestones/deadlinesAbility to evaluate large amounts of data and present in clear and concise reporting to drive decision makingDesired skills/experience: Financial Analysis (LRP, Budget, Forecast) Cost Accounting, entity reporting/consolidation, maintenance or project/capital knowledge or experienceBayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
