We are currently searching for a Financial Analyst to work on a temporary assignment with our Finance Team in Walnut Creek, CA.
Description of Job:
? Partner with the Sales team to provide financial related advice and counsel. Provide the required leadership, guidance, analysis, and interpretation of the financials. ? Analyze, and maintain customer relationship hierarchies that drive marketing program payments and customer reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness. Partner with sales team to ensure all updates/roll ups are completed in a timely manner.
? Partner with third party supplier of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions to analyze, verify and review accuracy and integrity of the data submitted. Perform periodic data audits, research reporting issues, reconcile monthly channel inventory, and identify business trends and potential issues. ? Develop ad hoc and customized reports for cross-functional teams. Prepare graphs to display and communicate information and analytics for dashboard metrics to establish goals and objectives. ? Drive innovation and improvement by understanding current practice, recommending a course of action, and implementing cost improvement initiatives that impact the financial results of the company ? Collaborate with the Planning team to do periodic forecast updates for the Sales team Opex spend.
Assess risk, understand gaps, and work with the teams to mitigate impact on future forecast ? Support the SAP ERP system implementation project as required ? Complete other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

Skills: Strong analytical and financial systems skills are required.
Ability to prepare and present meaningful presentations based on data analysis. Attention to detail; accuracy, data entry, organization, planning, flexibility, time management; interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. Additionally, advanced skills working with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio) is required.
5-10 years of analyst experience working in a cross functional business partnering environment. A strong understanding of accounting application. Prior experience should include analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and financial system report writing.
Experience with, Everest (or SAP Business Objects), JD Edwards or other ERP system.
BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent. MBA highly desirable.
Travel: Approximately 5%
Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to work overtime, as needed.
