Financial Credit Analyst

This position will provide broad exposure to the agriculture finance and credit areas of the business. You must be detail oriented, analytical, with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and driven to succeed.You will:Credit Investigation: Process and evaluate loan applications including running credit bureau reports,
verifying credit references, analyzing financial statements and tax returns, initiating and reviewing lien searches, and preparing credit presentations as needed.Loan Documentation: Complete, communicate and review loan approval forms and documentation to support loan decisions.
Coordinate approvals with retail cooperatives and ensure all documentation is complete for booking and funding.Promotional Programs: Develop a thorough understanding of various retail cooperative loan programs and ensure loan decisions and related documentation are consistent with approved loan programs.Loan Monitoring: Assist with loan monitoring processes to ensure compliance to loan conditions.
Evaluate loan collateral position by verifying crop insurance documentation, tracking and evaluating crop inspection information and recommending appropriate actions to address deficienciesLoan Collections: Assist with the collection and monitoring of delinquent loans and collection of guarantees from retail cooperatives.
Prepare denial letters and guarantee collection letters in accordance with the terms of various Retailer Agreements.Become familiar with the varying business units and support efforts to streamline processes, integrate new systems, and develop team roles and responsibilities across functional areas within CHS Capital.Attend classes to further develop credit, documentation and financial analysis skills.Stay informed on events that affect our customer?s business decisions such as changes in grain prices, input prices, weather, politics, US dollar valuation, etc.Perform a variety of other duties to assist departmental staff as needed.Occasional travel for onsite observation and develop relationships with credit personnel at the outlying retail cooperatives.Basic Qualifications: (required)4 year degree in Agriculture Business, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance3 to 5 years of experience in credit analysis, loan underwriting and documentation and/or credit review functions.General knowledge of accounting & finance principles with the ability to perform basic financial analysis.Experienced with the Microsoft Office suite, proficient in ExcelPreferred Qualifications: (preferred)Ag background is preferred.Previous internship in credit, collections, accounting, or finance.Experience using industry standard analytical applications such as Web Equity, LaserPro, etc.
